The Connoisseur suite is available on a subscription basis and enables its users to conduct online market research for a range of services, including brand positioning, new product development, package testing, ad testing, comms testing, concept testing, logo design evaluation, promotions testing, and segmentation of its audience. Analysis techniques include descriptive statistics, inferential significance testing, cluster analysis, and path analysis.
Connoisseur Suite was built by the team at Split Second research with the initial aim of enabling us to develop online surveys without reliance on a third party. It has become a very comprehensive research platform because every time a client requested a feature that the platform was not able to perform, we built it. Hence the platform has evolved to become the powerhouse that it is.
Our surveys are based on techniques that were established and validated in academic research. We have since researched and developed many refinements in these techniques for understanding consumers. Many of these techniques are not widely available. However, an agency or insights department wishing to utilise neuro-cognitive approaches would need to hire expensive specialist agencies and consultants, of which there are not many. In addition, the platforms speed up development of surveys and so with little training, a project manager can set up quite a complex survey that would have otherwise required significant expertise, training, and time to develop.
Connoisseur can create a variety of surveys such as implicit association testing and other reaction time-based tasks, as well as traditional survey questions. It was also built so that we could dramatically speed up analysis time. This made us one of the fastest agencies in the field.
